bicycle hand pumps are fine if you don't use your bike often, or need a quick top up, but if you use your bike a lot it's worth getting a track pump. they are much quicker than a mini pump, and much more efficient. usually they have a pressure gauge too, which is another important advantage over mini pumps, as different tyres have optimum pressures.
you can pick up a standard one for about £20, but for those who like their objects to look a bit special, i like the look of lezyne's floor drives. the above image is the alloy version, which will set you back just over £50, but you can get the steel version for a bit less. i like the simple styling, and the wooden handles, which i'm sure will only look better over time. definitely something you'd be happy to keep on show!
